A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.
"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone.

Another blog?
Yup.
I was thinking about how I need a creative outlet and how the usual ones are not an option for me right now.
Then my sister brought me a newspaper she found on the ground in Boston with a Brian Kershisnik painting on the cover. As I opened it up, it had some great quotes in it and I wanted them to be out there somewhere for me to access and/or just remember. I don't have any kind of good filing system and lately the internet is where my life seems to happen so I have decided to post them here for at least me and if you happen to stumble upon this then that's fine too.
So I'll start with the truest thing I know (other than all the gospel truths I for sure KNOW.)
"Well begun is half done."
